Dan leads AIS Life Sciences and is responsible for setting the direction and growth strategy for the business, securing our position as a leading laboratory / workplace delivery partner.

His multi-disciplinary corporate and consulting experience across real estate, facilities management, procurement and strategic planning, provides a breadth of experience, insight and understanding from both an occupier and owner perspective.

With over 20 years’ operational and management experience, across a variety of industries including organisations with complex manufacturing processes and laboratory facilities, he is able to support clients from concept to completion to convert their operational requirements, into amazing places to work. As a hands on director Dan provides end to end project leadership, strategic insight and guides innovation across all aspects of our integrated capabilities.

Heath is our laboratory specialist, heading up our Life Science division. Experienced in working with a range of different lab types including production and test labs, wet, dry and biomedical as well as technical spaces Heath if perfectly placed to support the design and delivery of laboratory work zones.

Heath is highly driven with over 20 years’ experience delivering successful projects to the highest quality of health, safety and environmental standards. With his extensive management and commercial background, Heath has a proven track record of delivering projects from award through to completion onsite and client handover.

He ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards of workmanship and quality. Heath makes certain output for all designers meets the technical and commercial requirement of lab and high tech spaces.

Director Strategy

More about Andrew Davies

With over 20 years experience Andrew has a broad knowledge of the commercial real estate development and transaction process and has worked with both landlords and tenants specialising in the Life Science sector.

Prior to joining AIS, Andrew oversaw property development at Imperial College London ThinkSpace and was involved in the development of stat of the art laboratory and office facilities to accommodate organisations ranging from start-ups to established businesses predominantly in Digital Tech and Life Sciences.

Andrew has overseen the repositioning of various real estate assets converting office to laboratory space and managed both leading and freehold transitions. Andrews 20 plus years experience on both the consulting and principle side of the industry gives him the bilateral, empathetic understanding of the entire process from identification of premises through to delivery.

Steve Cox

Pre-Contracts Director

More about Steve Cox

Steve works closely with you to ensure all AIS Life Sciences teams and strategic supply chain partners achieve the best possible results. His involvement continues into the delivery process and acts as an important link between pre and post contract phases. He makes certain that clear, detailed information and processes provided at the pre-construction phase leads to a smooth and hassle-free delivery of your Life Sciences workplace.

Steve manages analysis of tender documentation and assessment of the strategy required, ensuring the correct resources for each tender or project are allocated successfully. By liaising with the client, engineers, designers and architects, he ensures all client requirements are achieved and effectively communicated to the delivery team. He also undertakes risk analysis, making sure stakeholder requirements are met and identified, before implementing any added value to the project.

From a professional quantity surveying background, Steve has specialised in the refurbishment and fit-out market for over 25 years, gaining a detailed knowledge and in-depth experience throughout the pre-construction process to successful delivery of projects on site.

Simon has over 15 years experience within the commercial interiors industry. He has extensive experience taking client aspirations from initial concept to successful completion on site. He consistently develops creative environments that drive productivity into the workplace.

He ensures the output of all designers meet technical and commercial requirements within each project, managing design and creativity processes, promoting integration of disciplines. Simon’s career path has allowed both experience and developmental training with regards sustainability and intelligent design.

Simon founded the AIS design team and has pushed its development, ensuring people centric workplaces, that go beyond our clients expectations. Simon is a constant driver of innovation, recently implementing emerging technologies including VR and augmented reality.

Brett Corthine

Technical Director

More about Brett Corthine

Brett’s role at AIS as Technical Consultant is to form a close working relationship with our clients and their MEP consultants and to perceive the projects technical requirements and key challenges.

He has a hands on approach and will research and review the buildings record information, coordinate site surveys, understand client requirements and project particulars. This ensures AIS produce a coordinated / compliant / cost effective design that receives approval in line with the critical path programme. Brett will also help find value engineering options that will not compromise quality or delivery.

During construction, Brett will coordinate factory testing, site inspections, void closures, snagging and commissioning, witnessing and client training. He will also be on hand to provide technical support and help solve any technical problems throughout the project.

Head of Commercial

Nick is a reliable, highly motivated, construction professional with over 15 years’ contractor experience in both contracting and consulting roles for a variety of private and public sector clients across project delivery.

Nick will manage all commercial aspects and contractual issues relating to the project and ensure that all commercial targets are exceeded. With a hands on approach Nick has input into pre-contract, tendering and negotiation strategy and implementation, as well as monitoring supply chain agreements to ensure best possible quality and cost control.

Nick brings a wealth of experience to our team having help previous leadership roles within organisations within large scale, framework delivery schemes and successfully led and delivered on strategic business development plans to regulate and deliver these.

Realtime 3D Visualisation Artist

A multi-disciplinary 3D generalist with over 5 years experience, starting my career as a residential visualiser before exploring virtual reality as an exciting medium to express design. Chris’ primary passion is creating a fully immersive and realistic environment portraying the intricacies and subtleties of considered design, to create a fully prepared experience for the client to experience.

Chris helps to create visuals with our designers to aid our clients in realising their new workplaces Ranging from static renders to video flythrough and/or a full VR Experience. Using real-time software to help advance and iterate on the design for a fully considered output and using this software to engage with clients helping it mature with their opinion in mind.

Chris is skilled at 3D Modelling, Texturing, Lighting, Material Creation, Unreal Engine 4 realtime workflow, VR, Video and Static Rendering.

Head of Compliance and Sustainability

Nikita is responsible for developing, maintaining and promoting our Integrated Management System. Her unique blend of customer service, eye for quality and process driven ethos makes her a perfect addition to both our pre and post contract teams.

Nikita manages and implements our health and safety audits providing essential support to our Operational Teams across the business. She manages our external consultants, collating their feedback and advice, ensuring all AIS team members are fully trained and converse with the latest legislation and best practice.

She liaises, manages and develops strategic partner relationships with BSI and other relevant partners. Nikita also develops the ISO 14001 components with design, pre-contracts and contracts for operational activities. Nikita performs regular site audits with project and site managers. Measuring, reporting and managing corrective management plans, then providing and sourcing appropriate training.

With 10 years experience in the design industry leading projects and teams across Australia and in the UK, Amber has developed a strong commercial and strategic awareness of what is required to grow our presence globally.
